Dr. Ayoola completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he was class co-president for the duration of his attendance. Then he completed his medical residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received the IA Bigger award – the highest award bestowed to any surgical resident at his program. This is a testament to his integrity, leadership, teaching and clinical ability. He stayed at Virginia Commonwealth University for additional Fellowship Training in Bariatric Surgery and Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) Surgery.
